My recent study in oil painting
I felt no improvement
my friend suggested me to "paint like an impressionism"
I thought I did -_-' but seems like I'm not T-T

Love to paint animal, somehow they are metaphors of my situation
this one, is also me, in New York
Things are beautiful around me here
but I'm balancing myself on the edge
trying not to fall back
in the middle of the wind
and trying to grow up

I just found another way to cope with it, except from escape to somewhere by the sea, or just close my eyes and go to bed.

I paint

and I felt so relieved.

Here is my first and second attempt of oil painting.
First one is the reproduction of "Blue dog", and another one is "Cozmo"

My architectural presentation teacher will kill me, after all the training...
However, I think my art teacher will pat me on my head, because I'm starting to draw daily now.

1. First Encouter

I found this house from craigslist.org, in December 2005.
I never believe in love at first sight, but I fell in love with this place since the first step entering this 120 years old house.
Everybody keep saying "are you crazy?? it's tooooo far!!!"
but that won't prevent me from moving here.

2. First month in the house : mid Dec 05 - mid Jan 06

I finished my fall semester in NYIT, had a new year party with almost 12 Thai friends, and saw the snowstorm for the first time in my life.
It was a magical moment
Cozmo became "my boy"
I started to learn how to cook
went to Baltimore

3. Second month in the house : mid Jan - mid Feb 06

Spring semester started, I took five classes
less time to enjoy the house, missed the cherry blossom because I was too busy with school
Started to shoot video, starring Cozmo

4. Third month in the house : mid Feb - mid Mar 06

entering the 25th year of my life
P'Golf moved from San Fran Cisco to New York
play hard, work harder
Learning a lot from school
Funny how it was still cold, as if it was still winter
went to wolman ice skating ring for the first time
bought a new camera, get closer to Suna, Chien, Ed, P'Golf

5. Fourth month in the house : mid Mar - mid Apr 06

P'Golf moved to Queens
lived in solitude
first film (trailor) finished
occasional party in the house

6. Fifth month in the house : mid Apr - mid May 06

killed by final projects
prepared for my parents' arrival in New York
visited prof.Shundi's place

7. Sixth month in the house : mid May - June 06

my parents loved the house, and I was so glad they enjoyed it
went to DC, Maryland, Texas
Summer semester started
visited prof. Saslow's place

8. Seventh month in the house : mid June - mid July 06

Summer semester ended
graduated
started new apartment hunting
started exploring Long Island

9. Eight month in the house : mid July - now

found a new place
started moving like crazy
and here I am
updating my blog in the kitchen, just like old time

I will always love the memory here

I am floating, one minute up to the top of the world, one second down in the place belong to Gollum.

Headache , again.
Want to vomit, again

Trying to list down the things I should do and things I want to do, match them together, and first priority is...chill ^_^

Alright, I will. Question is, until when ? There are so many things on my list that I feel guilty just to chill.

Maybe I'd better find something to work on.
Without tight schedule, it seems too easy for me to go crazy.

We were asked to create a visual comparison between our hometown and New York. It was pretty tough question for me.
He said...we have to dig very deep inside us, in order to answer the question.

I am not sure if I am really answering the question from the deepest part of my soul, therefore I am not really happy about this work.

However, I guess this drawing might show something from my sub-concious, which I am not aware off.
If you know what it is, please tell me.

To me, Bangkok and New York are very much alike, and very much different.
I love and hate both cities, that I wish they are so close together...so I can escape from one city to another whenever I'd like to.

New York seems to be a lonely and cold place in comparison to a warm Bangkok in Monsoon. Here, I know few people. There, all of my beloved friends and family reside.

However, after I put that stinky bed out in the sun, turned on the fan, I went back to sleep again :P

What am I doing?!!! I am supposed to be writing a final paper
for the class of vocabulary of media critic.
I tried to focus on the topic of Music Video as an art form

mmm.....maybe this is a symptom of information overwhelming.
I've been watching almost 50 music video, more websites, within the past six hours.

I am swinging up and down in the valley of my emotion

maybe I should go to bed -_-'
Ok my paper, see you tomorrow.

I lost the touch with my own spirit
However, today, the connection is back
วันนี้เพิ่งจะนึกขึ้นได้ :)

I finally know what I want
I will take the step towards my desire

I'll travel the world whenever I can.
I won't postpone the trip by working hard to save a lot of money, and realize that my physical condition won't allow me to travel.

วันนึง ปลาคงจะได้มีบ้านของตัวเอง ริมทะเล
เอาไว้อยู่แบบฝันๆไปเรื่อย ใช้ชีวิตสงบๆ วาดรูป แล้วก็ ตายอย่างมีความสุข

ไม่ได้เขียนซะนาน รู้สึกว่าจะเขียนไม่ค่อยออกล่ะค่ะ
แป๊บเดียวก็จะผ่านไปอีกเดือนนึงแล้ว และก็จะผ่านไปอีกปีนึงแล้วด้วย
เห็นหลายๆคนเขียน diary สรุปเหตุการณ์ แล้วก็คิดว่า ต้องเขียนมั่งดีกว่า

พฤศจิกายน 2004
-เหมียวใหญ่ไม่สบาย

-ขับรถพาเหมียวไปโรงพยาบาลตอนเช้า และรับกลับบ้านตอนกลางคืน แต่ก็ไม่ช่วยให้เหมียวอาการดีขึ้น
-จาวไม่สบายเหมือนกัน
-เหมียวใหญ่ตาย วันที่ 25 เป็นจุดเปลี่ยนของชีวิต ตัดสินใจได้แล้วว่าจะหาทางออกจากบ้าน

ธันวาคม 2004
-เตรียมงานปีใหม่ให้บริษัท ขับรถไปกลับราชบุรีบ่อยที่สุดในรอบปี
-ซึนามิถล่มภาคใต้ วันเดียวหลังงานปีใหม่ ได้ยินครั้งแรกจากวิทยุแทบไม่อยากเชื่อว่าเป็นข่าวในประเทศ

มกราคม 2005
- เริ่มต้นปีใหม่แบบไม่ค่อยดีเท่าไหร่ จำได้ว่าร้องไห้จนหลับไป แต่ว่าตื่นมาก็ดีขึ้น
- ทำงาน คิดแผน marketing ที่ไม่เคยได้เอามาใช้
- เรียน mini-mba

-รีบๆสมัครเรียน เพราะว่าจะไปยุโรป ...เดี๋ยวกลับมาไม่ทัน Deadline สมัครไปทั้งหมดแค่ 1 ที่ แถมส่งคะแนน TOELF ที่หมดอายุไปสองปีแล้วด้วย..จะได้เรียนมั้ยล่ะนี่
-สงกรานต์ ก็แค่อีกวันนึงที่ผ่านไป
-โอ้...ทำไมจำอะไรไม่ได้เลย

พฤษภาคม 2005
-ส่ง final project ที่เรียน mini-mba
-ไปเยอรมัน 3 วันเพื่อ เยี่ยมลูกค้า พักกับพี่โบ (พี่สาวบิ๋ม) ที่ Frankfurt ได้เจอกับ Goetz ที่เคยรู้จักกันที่ฮาวาย และตอนนี้คงเป็นคุณพ่อไปเรียบร้อยแล้ว
-จาก Frankfurt ก็ไปเจอ บิ๋ม ปิ๊ก เก่ง ที่ปารีส เที่ยวอยู่ในฝรั่งเศสประมาณ 5 วัน
-ไปอิตาลีต่อ โดนตำรวจเรียกลงจากรถไฟตอนตีสาม เพราะวีซ่าของหลายๆคนในกลุ่มเป็นแบบ Single entry
-โดนส่งกลับฝรั่งเศส ผ่านทางสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ แวะกินข้าวเที่ยงที่โลซานน์
-ได้เที่ยวฝรั่งเศสอีกวัน แล้วค่อยบินไปโรมวันรุ่งขึ้น
-เหลือเวลาอยู่อิตาลีแค่ 4 วัน แล้วก็กลับเมืองไทย
-สนุกมาก แต่ก็เหนื่อยมากด้วย

มิถุนายน 2005
-กลับมาทำงานค้างต่อ แต่เริ่มรู้สึกเนือยๆ
-ได้จดหมายตอบรับให้เข้าเรียนที่ NYIT รู้ตัวแล้วว่าคงจะต้องห่างกับจาวอีกนาน
-เริ่มขอวีซ่า และจองที่พักของมหาวิทยาลัย
-ทะเลาะกับแม่ หนักขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ด้วยเรื่องที่ไม่ควรจะต้องทะเลาะกัน

กรกฎาคม 2005
-พยายามจะเคลียร์งานที่ค้างไว้ให้เสร็จ
-เล็ก (รู้จักกันที่ฮาวาย) มาเยี่ยม
-อาม่าของจาวเสีย
-วันเกิดจาว
-จาวรู้ตัวแล้วว่าจะโดนส่งไปไต้หวัน

สิงหาคม 2005
-ลาออกจากงาน
-จาวไปไต้หวัน

-ได้ทุน ศรีปทุม ชลบุรี

-เก็บของ เคลียร์ห้อง เตรียมตัวเดินทาง และย้ายที่อยู่


-ผ่าฟันคุด แวะไปนอนบ้านบิ๋มพักใหญ่ นอนกอดเชา (แมวบิ๋ม) แล้วหายปวดดี

-แวะไปไต้หวันก่อนบินไปเรียนต่อ 3 วัน



-วันเดินทาง แม่ พี่นัย พี่พรรณ มาส่งที่ office ส่วน แม่ติ๋ม พี่หวาท พ่อ พี่กบ จา บิ๋ม เล้ง นิว คม มาส่งที่สนามบิน



-ถึงนิวยอร์ควันที่ 30 สิงหาคม พร้อมๆกับ Hurricane Katrina

กันยายน 2005
-ลงทะเบียนเรียน เข้าที่พักแถว Brooklyn Height


-ได้รู้จัก Helen, Shan, Marion, Jimmy


-ได้เจอพี่กุ้ง พี่แก้ว (ลูกคุณป้า) ที่มาดู Tennis U.S. Open พอดี
-เริ่มสำรวจเมือง รู้สึกคุ้นเคยได้ง่ายๆ คงเพราะมันวุ่นวายเหมือนกรุงเทพฯ

-ไม่ค่อยต้องปรับตัวมากเท่าไหร่ ไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่าทำไม
-เริ่มทำงานร้านอาหารไทย ที่เป็นร้านของครอบครัวพี่คนไทยที่เป็นเพื่อนร่วมชั้น

-ใช้ชีวิตห่างกับจาว ครบ 2 เดือน ผ่านไปได้เพราะว่าโทรคุยกันบ่อยๆ + ยุ่งๆกับการปรับตัว

-ได้เพื่อนใหม่เป็นกีตาร์ ไว้แก้เหงา

ตุลาคม 2005
-คอมที่สั่งซื้อไว้มาถึง รู้สึกว่าทุกอย่างลงตัวขึ้นมาทันที
-ได้รู้จักกับญาติห่างๆของจาวที่อยู่นิวยอร์ค

-เริ่มสนิทกับพี่แก้ว (พี่ผู้จัดการที่ร้านอาหารไทย) ไปถ่ายรูป central park ช่วงใบไม้เปลี่ยนสีด้วยกัน แล้วก็ไปซื้อเสื้อหนาวด้วยกัน


-อากาศเริ่มเย็นลง

-ใช้ชีวิตห่างกับจาว ครบ 3 เดือน รู้สึกเหมือนจะทนได้ แต่ก็เหงาอยู่ดี

-เริ่มค้นหาตัวเอง

-มีความสุขกับการได้สัมผัสงานศิลปะในนิวยอร์ค



-ไม่แน่ใจกับอนาคต อารมณ์ขึ้นๆลงๆ

- Halloween แต่งเป็น Wednesday ใน Adam's Family โดยไม่ตั้งใจ ออกไปเดินในเมืองแล้วยิ่งเหงาเข้าไปใหญ่...คนเป็นล้าน แต่ไม่รู้จักใครเลย

พฤศจิกายน 2005
-ส่งงานกลางภาค
-Thanksgiving Party ที่บ้านพี่บีเวอร์ พี่ลิลลี่ (สนิทกับพี่แก้ว)
-ดู Harry Potter กลางดึก
-เตรียมลงทะเบียนเรียนเทอมต่อไป
-กังวลเรื่องทุน และเรื่องอนาคต
-เข้าฤดูหนาวเต็มที่
-เห็นหิมะครั้งแรก แต่ไม่คิดจะถ่ายรูป
-ใช้ชีวิตห่างกับจาวครบ 4 เดือน

ธันวาคม 2005
-ทำ animation เรื่องแรกในชีวิตเสร็จ เริ่มสนิทกับเพื่อนในกลุ่มที่ทำด้วยกัน ก็มี พี่ยิ้ม กับ Chien Chien

-เจอบ้านใหม่ ย้ายบ้าน
-ปรับตัวอีกครั้ง
-เพื่อนๆและพี่ๆมาเยี่ยม ทำให้บ้านใหญ่ๆไม่โล่งจนเกินไป


-เริ่มไม่ได้ติดต่อจาว และใช้ชีวิตห่างกัน ครบ 5 เดือน
-มีอะไรให้ทำเยอะแยะเต็มไปหมด ก็ช่วยได้นิดหน่อย ไม่งั้นคงจะเหงาตาย
-ตั้งใจว่าจะสมัคร NYU และจะหาทางนำเข้าของจากบริษัทกรไทยด้วย
-ตอนนี้ก็แก้เหงา ด้วยการดูแลหมาไปก่อน ตัวนี้ชื่อ Cozmo


- เริ่มรู้สึกว่า เรื่องต่างๆมันเข้ามาเยอะไปหมด เขียนไม่ทัน... พูดอะไรไม่ออก

หิมะลง รับปีใหม่
ย้ายขึ้นมานั่งบนเตียง ห่มผ้าอุ่นๆ นั่งดูหิมะค่อยๆลอยลงมาจากท้องฟ้า ผ่านทางหน้าต่าง
คิดถึงครอบครัว คิดถึงทุกๆคนที่ผ่านเข้ามาในชีวิต พร้อมๆกับคิดเรื่องต่างๆที่ผ่านมา
แล้วเหมือนจะได้เรียนอะไรเพิ่มอีกนิดหน่อย
รวมๆแล้วปีนี้มีอะไรเกิดขึ้นเยอะ มีจุดเปลี่ยนที่น่าจะสำคัญด้วย
ตั้งใจว่า ปีใหม่นี้ จะอดทนให้มากขึ้น และพยายามทำทุกอย่างให้ดีที่สุด
ถ้าขอพรปีใหม่ได้ ก็คงจะขอให้ผ่านช่วงนี้ไปได้เร็วๆ แล้วก็ขอให้ทุกคนที่ผ่านเข้ามาในชีวิต แข็งแรง มีความสุข และมีปีใหม่ที่ดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆ
เท่านี้ล่ะค่ะ ปลาคงจะไม่ต้องการอะไรแล้ว
